MiddleEssex Summer Softball 2026

Summer travel softball is more competitive relative to the spring season.

PYS will do our best to enter teams 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions into the Middle Essex Summer League run by USA Softball of Massachusetts. Depending on interest, multiple teams may be formed at each age group and different divisions. If PYS is able to place two teams in any division in any age group, we will host tryouts for placement onto those teams. While every attempt will be made to roster girls onto a team, spots are not guaranteed and full refunds will be provided for any players not rostered.

The Info below is based on last summer and is subject to change. 

10's and 14's will play on Monday/Wednesday

12's will play on Tuesday/Thursday

Season starts on Monday, June 22nd.

Season ends August 1st and the following week can be used for make-ups if necessary.  No playoffs in summer ball. 

 All-Star Game - TBD

There are two games a week and additional practices. All scheduled games are played on weeknights.  Some make-up games due to weather-related cancellations could be made up on a weekend. Practice nights vary by coach and could include a Sunday evening.

Home games are played in The Pines in Groveland, and road games are played in towns in and around Essex County and also parts of Middlesex County.

ASA Age Classifications for Summer 2026

ASA/USA rules determine a player’s eligibility with a September 1st cutoff for the current season. Here are the age classifications for 2026:

10U: Born 9/1/2014 – 8/31/2016

12U: Born 9/1/2012 – 8/31/2014

14U: Born 9/1/2010 – 8/31/2012
