Spring 2026 USA Softball League - Essex County

REGISTRATION

We’re excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 Spring Softball season!

This year brings some exciting updates to our league.

What’s New for 2026

In prior years, Pentucket Youth Softball participated in the Essex County Women’s Softball League (ECWSL), which was organized and run by the participating towns.

Beginning in Spring 2026, our program will now be organized under USA Softball of Massachusetts.

If your player has previously participated in Middle Essex Summer or Fall Ball, you can expect the Spring season rules to more closely align with those leagues. Additionally, player placement will now follow the USA Softball Age Chart rather than school grade.

While the season will be more competitive than in past years, our focus remains on:

Player development

Learning and fundamentals

Creating a positive and supportive softball experience

Divisions

10U, 12U, and 14U divisions may include teams entered in A and/or B leagues

League Levels:

A League – More competitive

B League – Less competitive

8u/Instructional Division will continue to be run by the surrounding towns, similar to years past. 

Registration Dates

Regular Registration: Open now through February 28

After February 28, a $25 late fee will apply, and a roster spot is not guaranteed based on registration numbers
